June 19th 2014  Lesson 94

I am as God created me.

  • Intention:  To remember that I am and I remain as God created me:  Spirit, Perfect, Free.
  • Practice:  The first Five-minutes of every waking hour as best you can, but at least remember to repeat today's thoughts each hour:
  • Application: -- Begin by stating the following truth about your creation:
I am as God created me.
    I am His Child eternally
    .

Now close your eyes and quietly open your awareness to your Higher Self, the Self that God created:  Spirit, perfect and free
.  The Self that never left Its home in God to walk the world uncertainly, the Self that knows no fear, nor could conceive of loss or suffering or death.  All you need to reach this Self, is to lay all idols and self-images aside; go past the list of attributes, both good and bad, you have ascribed to yourself; and wait in silent expectancy for the truth.  God has Himself promised that it will be revealed to all who ask for it.  You are asking now.  You cannot fail because He cannot fail.  Spend a minute or so with your eyes closed, and realize that these are statements of the truth about you.

If a situation arises that seems to be disturbing, quickly dispel the illusion of fear by repeating these thoughts again.  Should you be tempted to become angry with someone, tell him silently:
You are as God created you.
    You are His Child eternally.

Make every effort to do the hourly exercises today.  Each one your do will be a giant stride toward your release, and a milestone in learning the thought system which this course sets forth.

Insights/comments:
  • The truth will set you free, and the absolute truth will set you free absolutely.  This is our salvation this is the truth that will save us.  Salvation requires the acceptance of but one thought--you are as God created you, not what you made of yourself.

  • We are as God created us, for we did not create ourselves, and we cannot change what God created for we are not more powerful than our Creator.  This means that we are now, always was and forever will remain as God created us.  God is perfect and perfection being complete in every way needs no updates, repairs, revisions, or evolutions, nor can it be degraded, diminished, or devalued in anyway.  This is the perfect Self that we are as God created us.

  • We are eternal Spirits wearing the costumed garb of bodies in a staged performance, pretending to be separate aspects of the unified oneness that we are.  This is all great fun and games and make-believe, but somewhere along the way, we forgot our oneness and started believing our make-believe illusions were real; our make-believe world became our reality; our fun and games became our pain and suffering.  But our true reality as Spirit cannot be undone, even in our forgetfulness, so our only challenge is to remember, and the process for remembering is repetition, the same process we used to forget our oneness.  Let us play and make believe the truth is true, that we are one Spirit, until we forget our separateness and throw off the costumed garb of bodies and wake up to eternity and to God.

  • We are Spirit; we are perfect, in the likeness of our Creator; and we are free, free to choose to be like Him.

I and my Creator are One.  *:)
