July 19th 2014  Lesson 123

I thank my Father for His gifts to me.

  • Intention:  To acknowledge God's many gifts and give thanks for them.
  • Practice:  Fifteen-minutes in the morning and Fifteen-minutes at night we devote to acknowledging and thanking God.  In addition, we will remind ourselves every waking hour to think of God in thankfulness for His many blessings.

  • Application: -- Today let us be thankful, and devote this day to gratitude.  We have come to gentler pathways and to smoother roads.  A bit of wavering remains, some small objections and a little hesitance, but we can well be grateful for our gains, which are far greater than we realize.  Today in gratitude we lift our hearts above despair.  We raise our thankful eyes and sing the song of thankfulness in honor of the Self that is our true identity in God.  Today we smile on everyone we see, and walk with lightened footsteps as we go to do what is appointed us to do.  Today we are thankful that:

    •  God loves us and is always with us
    •  That God has a plan for our salvation
    •  That our true Self is as changeless as God
    •  That we have a function (happiness) in salvation to fulfill
    •  That we have heard and headed God's call for our salvation
    •  That God returns our meager gifts a thousand fold and a hundred thousand fold
    •  That God blesses our gifts by sharing them with us so they grow in power and strength
    •  That God's gifts fill the world with gladness and with gratitude.
    •  That we can acknowledge and receive God's gifts to us.
    •  e.t.c.

Insights/comments:
  • Gratitude is the state of mind in which we want to always be for it is the fuel that allows us to see more clearly God's plan for our salvation and gladly fulfill it.  We are the light of the world; forgiveness is our only function; our happiness and our function are one; fulfilling our function is our salvation.

I and my Creator are One.  *:)
 happy
