March 8th 2014  Lesson 354

Part II  Introduction

  • We will continue spending time with God each morning and night and at each waking hour, using all future lessons as introductions to the times in which we leave the world of pain, and go to enter peace, calling to God when we have need of Him as we are tempted to forget our goal.  During these holy times, we will say some simple words of welcome, and expect our Father to reveal Himself to us, as He has promised that He would when we invited Him.

This is how our times with Him will now be spent:  we say the words of invitation that His Voice suggests, and then we wait for Him to come to us.  Sit silently and wait upon your Father.  He has willed to come to you when you have recognized it is your will He do so.  We need only call to God, and all temptations disappear.  Instead of words, we need but feel His Love.  Instead of prayers, we need but call His Name.  Instead of judging, we need but be still and let all things be healed.

Our lessons will now be preceded by a theme of special relevance that we should review before each lesson until another is given us.  They should be slowly read and thought about a little while, preceding one of the holy times we sit in silence and wait for God to reveal Himself to us.  The next of these special thoughts follow and are relevant to lessons 351 - 360:

      14. What Am I?

I am God's Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love.  In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life.  In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. I am the holy home of God Himself.  I am the Heaven where His Love resides.  I am His holy Sinlessness Itself, for in my purity abides His Own.

Our use for words is almost over now.  Yet in the final days of this one year we gave to God together, you and I, we found a single purpose that we shared.  And thus you joined with me, so what I am are you as well.  The truth of what we are is not for words to speak of nor describe.  Yet we can realize our function here, and words can speak of this and teach it, too, if we exemplify the words in us.

We are the bringers of salvation.  We accept our part as saviors of the world, which through our joint forgiveness is redeemed. And this, our gift, is therefore given us.  We look on everyone as brother, and perceive all things as kindly and as good.  We do not seek a function that is past the gate of Heaven. Knowledge will return when we have done our part.  We are concerned only with giving welcome to the truth.

Ours are the eyes through which Christ's vision sees a world redeemed from every thought of sin.  Ours are the ears that hear the Voice for God proclaim the world as sinless.  Ours the minds that join together as we bless the world.  And from the oneness that we have attained we call to all our brothers, asking them to share our peace and consummate our joy.

We are the holy messengers of God who speak for Him, and carrying His Word to everyone whom He has sent to us, we learn that it is written on our hearts.  And thus our minds are changed about the aim for which we came, and which we seek to serve.  We bring glad tidings to the Son of God, who thought he suffered.  Now is he redeemed.  And as he sees the gate of Heaven stand open before him, he will enter in and disappear into the Heart of God.

    Lesson 354

We stand together, Christ and I, in peace
And certainty of purpose.  And in Him
Is His Creator, as He is in me.

  • Invitation Prayer:   My oneness with the Christ establishes me as Your Son, beyond the reach of time, and wholly free of every law but Yours.  I have no self except the Christ in me.  I have no purpose but His Own.  And He is like His Father.  Thus must I be one with You as well as Him.  For who is Christ except Your Son as You created Him?  And what am I except the Christ in me?

Insights/comments:
  • God created us perfect as Himself and united with His one Self.   Perfection* is a constant state that does not change and this is a fundamental and immutable characteristic of God's one creation.  God is perfect, I am perfect, you are perfect, and all of this, apparently separate creation. is perfect.  This is what unites us with each other and with our Creator.  We have forgotten our perfection but we have not lost it, for it is an inherent and permanent part of ourselves.  The Christ in us remembers our true identity as perfect children of God, and by aligning our self-created ego-self with our Christ-Self, we can remember, know, and experience our true identity as perfection.  We do not have to become perfect, for it already is our natural and permanent state, it is already what we are; we need do nothing to become what we already are.  We do, however, need to become aware of our God-given perfection, and thus the need to align with the Christ in us.

*Perfection is the state of being complete in every way.  This implies that perfection is a constant state, because any further addition or subtraction will contradict the perfection of the state already attained.  We can also think of perfection as a state of constant equilibrium or balance, meaning that change is allowed, but only if equilibrium is maintained
I and my Creator are One.  *:)
